The Simon Group, an award-winning, full service business-to-business marcom agency specializing in high tech and industrial accounts, recently hired Christine Dorward as its Public Relations Manager.
Dorward will be accountable for a wide range of public relations activities on behalf of The Simon Group’s clients. Her responsibilities include writing and editing news releases and feature articles, obtaining article and product review opportunities and working with editors to maximize client exposure.
Dorward recently graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication/Journalism and an emphasis in Public Relations from Shippensburg University, where she was an active member of Ship Partners, the student-run PR firm on campus. Her experiences with Ship Partners include promoting local businesses among the community by writing news releases and designing advertisements.
She is also a member of the Public Relations Society of America. While at Shippensburg, Dorward coordinated publicity for the PRSA student chapter including compiling media information and coordinating the speaking panel for the university’s annual Communication Journalism Day.
Dorward also interned at Bradford-Gould Public Relations, Bethlehem, Pa., where she handled press activities for a number of the agency’s clients including news release writing and editing, media relations and press kit production.
